Purpose of data storage
For the purposes of this application tool, the following personal data (hereinafter referred to as “the Data”) shall be requested from the Applicant and stored in the Crossroads database: passport expiration date, nationality, given name, surname, gender, email address, date of birth, highest level of education, current address, current phone number, marital status. The Data shall be used by Crossroads for the sole purpose of automatically completing application forms required by Ministry of Economic Affairs and other related Taiwan Republic of China (ROC) government agencies for the Entrepreneur Visa on the Applicant’s behalf.
To actively promote effective immigration reform and global outreach campaigns by the Taiwan ROC government, Crossroads may, however, share the following data with relevant government agencies and officials for demographic study: nationality, date of birth, gender, highest level of education, and marital status. To that end, Crossroads shall not share with a third party individual or organization any identifying or contact information, such as given name, surname, email address, current address, and current phone number. Furthermore, Crossroads will not collect or store the information Applicants provide on the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs online visa application form.
Deleting your data from Crossroads
The Data shall be stored permanently on Crossroads databases until the Applicant sends a “request to be forgotten” (your information deleted from the Crossroads database) email to <a href="mailto:email@example.com">firstname.lastname@example.org</a>. In this email request, the Applicant shall specify whether they would like to have:
1. The Data in its entirety deleted from the Crossroads database<br><strong>OR</strong><br>2. Recommended: only identifying and contact information of the Data, including given name, surname, date of birth, current address, and current phone number, from the Crossroads database.
Crossroads shall delete the Data accordingly within 24 hours upon receiving the request, and will send the Applicant an email confirming the deletion.
Requesting a copy of your data from Crossroads
The Applicant may request a copy of the Data stored on the Crossroads database at anytime by sending an email request to <a href="mailto:email@example.com">firstname.lastname@example.org</a>. Crossroads shall reply with an electronic format file of the Data stored in the Crossroads database at the time of the request within 24 hours upon receiving the request. If the Data has already been deleted due to a previous “request to be forgotten”, then Crossroads shall inform the Applicant in this reply.
